We backpacked the Hayduke Trail in May–it was beautiful and rugged and absolutely wonderful!

We spent the summer in Alaska and Canada backpacking and kayaking in various places–more of a laid back trip as we drove up and did smaller adventures along the way. Follow the link for photos taken by Dave.

Our Traveling Philosophy

We prefer to travel by our own means whenever possible in ways that are light on the land and put us in close contact with the people, cultures, and diverse ecosystems our beautiful Earth offers. Dave has long had this mindset and also has the personal mission of photo-documenting the current state of the landscapes and wildlife he sees when traveling. Michelle’s goal is to write about the sights and interactions with people in a way that brings it close and makes it real to friends, family and others reading at home. Together we hope to illustrate the joy and beauty of Earth-friendly travel so others can benefit from our experience.
