Hi Amy & Jim! Just read in your blog that you're back home - we were just wondering. Hope the ride was wonderful after we saw you. Looking forward to reading your final thoughts on it all.

I'm surprisingly calm about all this, not really normal for me but I'm going with it. I will be glad to get out of the sling and start rehabbing it though, and still look forward to our next trip. At least we got to make a trip back to Flagstaff and see friends.

Let us know if you guys end up on another adventure so we can follow along!

Take care, Michelle

Michelle - We're so sorry to hear about the accident. We can imagine the emotional frustration you must be suffering - I broke my thumb in a bike accident in January and was a basket-case about it for a few months. And Jim broke his leg on a backpacking trip a couple years ago and it took him a while to rebuild his confidence that he would be able to hike without worry again. Based on our experiences, it might take some time for you, but you'll get your physical strength and confidence back.
